Dad took me to my first race at the age of three at Flat Rock Speedway. Shortly after my first experience at the track I became interested in flagging. My Auntie Jen made me a miniature set of flags. From then on I would take the flags to all the races I went to. I went to the races with my Dad, Papa and sometimes friends and sometimes Granny and Auntie Jen and my cousins. After a couple of seasons the flag man at Auto City Speedway, Rusty Daggett, invited me to the tower and gave me the opportunity to flag a Powder Puff Race. Some of the people who watched me flagging are now watching me race. One day last year I went into the stands after my race to see my family and the people in front of them recognized me and asked for my autograph.
As I got older I started collecting 1:24 and 1:64 scale NASCAR and any other type of car I could find. Today that collection is over 1000 pieces large. Along with the cars I also collect Bobby LaBonte anything.
My dad made a room into a NASCAR collection and trophy room. The room is bordered by the 52 hats I have and several clocks, numerous banners and all of my trophies.
Racing History:
I started my racing career in 2003 in Karts at Flat Rock Speedway in Flat Rock, Michigan where I won the championship. In 2004 I raced Karts at Barberton Speedway (Ohio) and came in fourth in points.
In 2005 I started racing Bandolero's with The Michigan Bandolero Series and won the championship. Also, in 2005 we raced at Lowe"s Motor Speedway in the Hardee's Summer Shoot Out and The Bandolero Nashville Nationals.
In 2006 I continued in the Michigan Bandolero's Series and when I became age eligible I started racing in The Michigan Legend Series. Running both series was a little tough sometimes on myself and my pit crew.
My first legends race was two days after my fourteenth birthday on June 9,2006 at Toledo Speedway. Two months later I became the only two time Michigan Bandolero Series Champion. I raced 16 of the 22 races in the Michigan Legend Series. I had two heat wins. One at Auto City Speedway and the other at Springport Speedway. I had ten top 10's and four top 15's coming in 13 overall for the season.
The first weekend in November we went to Kentucky Speedway with my new legends car and raced in the KOIL Tour. I finished 5th in the l00 lapper on Saturday night and 4th in the 40 lapper on Sunday. We returned on the 17 and 18th of March (2007). On Saturday, I got my first career legends car poll and ended up finishing 5th. On Sunday, just three laps into the race mechanical failures posted me for the rest of the race.
